Helios boats deliver unmatched chassis rigidity and tracking capability to deliver stability and handling previously not available in a pontoon boat. The way these boats corners is a testament to its engineering and overall build quality. But that’s just the beginning. Every touch and feature tell you that these boats were built by those who have spent their lifetime on the water.
Unlike the vast majority of Pontoon boats, Helios pontoons are built without wood floors that can warp after years of weathering. Quarter inch thick I-Beam and C-Channel extrusions run the full width of the deck extending all the way to the rub rail to provide outstanding impact resistance. We’re all pros around the dock… until we’re not. Helios provides the extra strength and rigidity to keep impacts from becoming expensive repairs.
Confidence behind the wheel all starts with the ability of the boat to absorb hits to the running surface from the water below. In smooth water, every boat is a hero. But the reality of today’s waterways quickly turns the smoothest of waters into a cauldron of confused wakes delivering repetitive hits to the running surface. Each Helios pontoon tube is a tenth of an inch think and features a minimum of 5 airtight chambers, full length quarter-inch thick M-brackets, three sided and sealed lifting strakes, solid keels and a .125 inch thick dolphin nose for superior strength. Full length spray defectors run along the outside, to keep everything nice and dry.
